What it's like
This is a natural, shallow pool in the rock platform, more for wading and cooling off than swimming. It is quiet and easy to miss, tucked off the coastal walk between Coogee and Maroubra, with open sea views and few people.
When to go
Calm days at low to mid tide, when the platform is safest. It suits a stop on the coastal walk rather than a trip in its own right.
Getting there and facilities
Walk about 2 km south from Coogee Beach on the coastal walkway, or park in South Coogee and come in via Bunya Parade, the best car access. There are no facilities at the pool.
Good to know
The beach is unpatrolled and dogs are not allowed. Council warns that rocks in and around the pool can be slippery.
